Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Dr. Mansour Bajash, met with the Japanese Ambassador to Yemen, Yoichi Nakashima, to discuss recent developments in Yemen and bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in development and economic sectors.
Dr. Bajash expressed appreciation for Japan's humanitarian and development support to Yemen through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and UN agencies.
He also praised Japan's supportive stance on peace efforts in Yemen
The Deputy Foreign Minister called for relocating UN and international organizations' offices to the temporary capital, Aden, to ensure staff safety and facilitate humanitarian work.
The Japanese Ambassador reaffirmed Japan's commitment to supporting peace efforts in Yemen and its readiness to enhance development, humanitarian, and economic cooperation with the Yemeni government.
