Muslim Hands inks Memo of understanding to establish two water projects in Marib

The branch of the General Authority for Water and Sanitation in Marib governorate signed today, Monday a Memorandum of Understanding with the British organization "Muslim Hands" to establish two water projects in the city of Marib.

The memo aims to improve access to safe drinking water and expand coverage to several neighborhoods in Marib city, benefiting more than 16,000 people, including both internally displaced persons and the host community.

Under the memo the organization "Muslim Hands" will finance and execute a project to establish an internal water distribution network in the al-Sahn neighborhoods of the al-Rawda area, spanning 6.2 kilometers, equipped with control rooms, valves and technical accessories that ensure operational efficiency and service sustainability.

The second project includes supply and installation of a vertical multi-stage pump with a production capacity of 15 liters per second and a lifting capacity of up to 105 meters, to supply water to the University and al-Qasr neighborhoods.

The Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah highly appreciated the significant support and humanitarian interventions provided by the "Muslim Hands" in sustainable projects that cover part of the basic needs and contribute to enhancing the capacities of government offices in developing and sustaining their services.
