The Yemeni Ambassador to China, Dr. Mohammed Al-Maitami, participated in cultural events organized by the Sichuan Provincial Government in Chengdu and Ya'an cities.

During his visit, Al-Maitami met with the Mayor of Ya'an City, Ying Mei, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to benefit from local experiences in sustainable development, agricultural education, and environmental protection.

At Sichuan Agricultural University, Al-Maitami delivered a speech praising the historical relations between Yemen and China.

He emphasized the role of universities in promoting cultural and scientific exchange between the two countries and expressed Yemen's commitment to expanding academic and technical cooperation, particularly in modern agriculture and sustainable development.
