Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Maj. Gen. Faraj al-Bahsani, met with the Japanese Ambassador to Yemen, Yoichi Nakashima, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and supporting peace efforts in Yemen.
During the meeting, al-Bahsani praised the historical relations between the two countries and Japan's humanitarian and development support to Yemen. He emphasized the council's commitment to expanding cooperation in various fields and appreciated Japan's consistent support for peace efforts in Yemen.
The discussions also focused on projects implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Yemen.
Al-Bahsani highlighted the importance of resuming JICA's activities in liberated provinces, particularly in solar energy, electricity, water, sanitation, agriculture, and fisheries development using Japanese technology.
