ADEN - SABA
Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen al-Dai'ri met Thursday with French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, and the new French military attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Qader Abdullah.
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the Military Intelligence Authority, Major General Ahmed Mohsen, discussed the continued threat of the terrorist Houthi militia to maritime navigation routes and the concerted efforts to combat arms and drug smuggling.
The Minister of Defense pointed out that the terrorist Houthi militia targeted a Dutch ship a few days ago, stressing that navigation routes in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden will remain at risk unless the international community supports the capabilities of the Yemeni armed forces to enable them to restore the state and complete liberation, recalling the black history of the militias in breaking covenants and agreements since their rebellion in the Saada wars.
Minister Al-Dai'ri explained that the Iranian regime continues to smuggle weapons of all kinds to the terrorist Houthi militias and use them as a pressure card to blackmail the region and the world in order to achieve its interests and serve its expansionist terrorist project.
The Minister of Defense confirmed the continuation of the service between the terrorist Houthi militia and other terrorist organizations in an attempt to disturb the peace in the liberated areas, pointing out that the militias are seeking to flood the country and neighboring countries with drugs through their activity in smuggling operations and establishing factories for the production of drugs and contraband in areas under their control and an attempt to establish a factory in al-Mahra Governorate, which the security services were able to seize in the past few days.
Lieutenant General al-Dai'ri stressed the readiness and preparedness of all forces in all liberated areas to carry out their duty, complete liberation, end the Houthi coup, and confront various terrorist groups.
For her part, the French Ambassador reiterated her country's support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government until peace is achieved in Yemen.
