Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has issued a decree appointing Dr. Evgeny Kudrov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Yemen.

According to the Russian Embassy in Yemen, the appointment is made under Presidential Decree No. 695 dated October 1, 2025, aiming to further develop friendly relations and cooperation between Russia and Yemen.

The Embassy stated that this decision reflects President Putin's commitment to enhancing bilateral ties serving the interests of both nations and highlighting the depth of their historical connection
