The National Investigation Committee met with representatives from the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, and EU missions to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva to discuss its 13th periodic report on human rights abuses.
Committee Chairman Judge Ahmed Al-Muflahi presented an overview of the report covering August 2024-July 2025, highlighting ongoing field investigations despite challenges and documented abuses.
European delegates expressed appreciation for the Committee's efforts, stressing the importance of continued cooperation with the UN High Commissioner to facilitate investigations and protect victims.
They also voiced concern over the humanitarian situation, arbitrary arrests of NGO and embassy staff, and urged protection for human rights defenders, civil society, women, and children from incitement, violence, and abuses.
