Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Shaya Zindani met Monday with the US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagen.
During the meeting, aspects of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them in various fields were discussed.
Minister Zindani expressed the Yemeni government's thanks and appreciation to the United States of America for its continued support for Yemen, its assistance in confronting the terrorist Houthi militias and securing navigation lines in the Red Sea, in addition to its efforts in combating terrorism.
The meeting also discussed UN efforts to achieve peace and humanitarian work, and the importance of moving UN headquarters and agencies to the temporary capital, Aden, in a way that facilitates their work and enhances their effective presence.
For his part, the US Ambassador renewed his country's position in support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government, and its continued support for the security and stability of Yemen.
He stressed the continuation of American support in various fields.
