President al-Alimi meets with leaders of the Yemeni community United States

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi and Council Member Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi met Saturday in New York City with leaders of the Yemeni community in the United States.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed the community leaders on the latest developments in the Yemeni arena, the economic, service and institutional reform efforts led by the Council and the government, and their repercussions on strengthening the position of the national currency, the prices of basic commodities, and alleviating the humanitarian suffering exacerbated by the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.

The President praised the role of members of the community in the United States and all Yemeni expatriates in supporting the national economy, alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, and supporting their aspirations to restore state institutions and overthrow the coup.

He also noted the role of members of the Yemeni communities in conveying the honorable image of Yemen, its culture and ancient civilization, as their ambassadors abroad, stressing the importance of benefiting from the traditions and experiences of expatriate countries, and embodying the culture of mutual respect and coexistence.

He stressed the importance of strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and cohesion between the members of the Yemeni community in New York and other American states, and preserving their national identity, pointing out that the meeting with the community leaders from various states is a message to the interior and exterior of unity of ranks, and the common keenness on a civil state based on justice and equality, partnership and equal citizenship, good governance, and equal opportunities.

The President called on national competencies in the United States and all diaspora countries to share their experiences in serving their country and nation, reiterating the government's commitment to providing all facilities to Yemeni expatriates in order to invest at home.

The President listened to many ideas and initiatives from the community in the United States, aimed at improving institutional performance at home, and defending the just Yemeni cause before various American activities.
