The National Committee to Investigate Alleged Violations to Human Rights reviewed its thirteenth periodic report and developments in the human rights situation in Yemen, during a discussion symposium held at the United Nations Palace here on Friday on the sidelines of the 60th session of the Human Rights Council.
The Chairman of the Committee Judge Ahmed al-Muflhi touched on the most prominent developments witnessed by the human rights file in Yemen during the period covered by the report.
He Highlighted the most important findings of the committee's work.
The Chairman and members of the Committee reiterated the Committee's keenness to reach victims in various regions and document violations committed by all parties.
He stressed the importance of strengthening accounting efforts.
This symposium is the Committee's first activity within its program in Geneva, in which representatives of diplomatic missions and embassies participated.
Local and international civil society organizations, human rights activists and the media participated also in the symposium.
The committee members provided a detailed presentation of the statistics and data contained in the report, the most prominent aspects of the investigation and the results of the field landing carried out by monitoring teams in a number of governorates, despite the existing humanitarian and security challenges.
