The Prime Minister Salem bin Braik expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and His Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi government and people for their constant and generous support for Yemen.
The Kingdom announced yesterday about an additional economic support for Yemen with a total amount of one billion and 380 million Saudi rial to support the government's budget, provide fuels and enhance financial and economic stability.
Bin Briak voiced his thanks and gratitude during his talks today, Sunday, with the Ambassador of the Saudi Arabia Kingdom to the Republic of Yemen Mohammed al-Jaber, the General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for Development and Construction Yemen (SPDCY).
"This new economic assistance is a strong momentum for the government's efforts aiming to maintain the exchange rate of national currency, curb inflation and boost the economic and financial reforms", said bin Braik.
Bin Braik's conversations with al-Jaber covered a range of topical issues, including the government's economic and financial reforms, the progress realized and challenges need to be addressed to further boost the reforms as well as the humanitarian and development interventions to be carried out by the SPDCY.
The Saudi Ambassador reaffirmed the continuing support of the Kingdom to the Yemeni government's efforts to carry out the comprehensive reforms and to establish security, peace, stability and development in Yemen.
