Foreign Minister, Dr. Shaya Zindani, met with Japan's Ambassador to Yemen, Yoichi Nakashima, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional security challenges.
Minister Zindani appreciated Japan's assistance to Yemen and urged continued international support to overcome economic and service delivery challenges.
He emphasized the need for technical support and training for Yemen's Coast Guard to enhance their capacity to protect coastlines and territorial waters.
The minister also highlighted Iran's expansionist policies and arms smuggling to Houthi militias, calling for intensified international efforts to halt weapons trafficking and impose strict sanctions.
