In a meeting held in Riyadh, Member of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, Lt. Gen. Sultan Al-Aradah, met with Japan's Ambassador to Yemen, Yoichi Nakashima, to discuss the current developments in Yemen and the importance of supporting humanitarian and development efforts in the country.
Al-Aradah emphasized the need for effective partnership from the international community to address the economic and humanitarian challenges facing Yemen, particularly in light of the ongoing economic war waged by the Houthi militia.
He highlighted the importance of financing development projects that contribute to improving basic services and alleviating the suffering of citizens.
The Ambassador of Japan reaffirmed his country's commitment to continuing its support for Yemen and expanding bilateral cooperation to enhance the government's capabilities in overcoming challenges. Al-Aradah appreciated Japan's supportive stance towards Yemen in recent years and expressed his hope for a broader partnership between the two countries in various fields.
