[04/09/2025 06:33]

ADEN - SABA
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdul Rahman al-Mahrami held Thursday an expanded meeting with the leaders of the security services to discuss developments and ways to enhance security readiness in a way that ensures stability of the situation and confronts current challenges.

During the meeting, attendees presented detailed reports on the current security situation in the liberated governorates, reviewing the level of security readiness and security deployment plans, in addition to the level of implementation of the training and qualification plan that aims to raise the capabilities of members of the security services.

The meeting also discussed the field challenges facing the security services and ways to address them, most notably the need for joint coordination between the various security formations to ensure rapid response to developments, intensify efforts to pursue elements of crime and combat terrorism, and maintain the state of stability witnessed by the governorates.

In this regard, sl-Mahrami stressed the importance of unifying efforts to anticipate risks and achieve stability in the liberated governorates. Pointing out that this stage requires working as a team, away from duplication and dispersion.

He praised the efforts of the security services and their achievements in enhancing security and stability, arresting perpetrators and combating terrorism, stressing that security represents "the basic pillar of societal stability and protecting citizens, and a lofty value that should be embodied in behavior and discipline before it is merely a functional task."

He also directed that high priority be given to qualitative training and qualification programmes, and that the principle of reward and punishment be established as a tool for consolidating institutional discipline.

Al-Mahrami stressed the continuation of implementing plans to restructure the security services and rotate jobs in line with the requirements of the stage and the specificity of each governorate, noting that these steps come within a comprehensive vision to build a strong and effective security institution capable of keeping pace with challenges and combating terrorism.
