Aden- Saba
Aden Governor Ahmed Lamlas launched the rehabilitation project for the main wastewater pumping station in Khormaksar district, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through Oxfam.
The project includes rehabilitating the wastewater collection tank, installing an automated waste screening system, a gas filtration system, and a remote monitoring and operation system.
The governor emphasized the project's strategic importance in protecting the marine environment, reducing pollution, and improving public health.
The governor noted that the new pump will treat wastewater through the Al-Arish ponds before discharging it into the sea.
The project's implementation is expected to enhance the efficiency of the sewage network in Khormaksar, solve blockage problems, and ensure the smooth flow of wastewater to treatment ponds.
