Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik attended the celebration of World Population Day 2025 in Aden, emphasizing the government's commitment to investing in human capital.

The event, organized by the National Population Council in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), highlighted in the importance of empowering young people to build a better future.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to invest in Yemen's young population, estimated at 12 million individuals between 15 and 29 years old, by enhancing opportunities for quality education, comprehensive healthcare, and productive employment.

He emphasized that building a state begins with caring for the citizen, protecting their rights and freedoms, and ensuring their access to education, health, work, and a decent life.

Despite the challenges facing Yemen due to war and its humanitarian, economic, and social repercussions, the Prime Minister emphasized the people's ability to withstand and confront crises.

He directed government institutions to continuously review priorities in line with the nature of current challenges and to develop national policies and programs based on scientific foundations.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the government attaches special importance to population and development policies, recognizing the close link between population growth and economic and social development.

He reiterated the government's commitment to working with domestic and international partners to develop policies and programs that take into account the population dimension and open broader horizons for investment in human capital.
