Yemen participated in the 45th session of the Executive Council Meeting of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) via video conference. The meeting is currently chaired by Tunisia.
During the meeting, Yemen's Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Salem Al-Soqatri, highlighted the challenges facing the Arab region, particularly those related to water scarcity, land degradation, and climate change. He emphasized the need for joint efforts and cooperation to secure food and water for present and future generations.
Al-Soqatri praised ACSAD's efforts in Yemen, which aim to reduce the threats of food insecurity and climate change. He reaffirmed Yemen's commitment to implementing strategic projects with ACSAD to enhance farmers' resilience and achieve rural development
