The Joint Incident Assessment Team (JIAT) has released the results of its investigations into four claims of alleged errors committed by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen.
The team examined claims related to three incidents, including alleged targeting of a fuel station, a water truck, and a health unit.
The JIAT investigated a claim that the Coalition targeted a fuel station in Harib, Marib Governorate, on September 3, 2015. After reviewing all relevant documents, including air task orders and mission reports, the team found no evidence that the Coalition conducted airstrikes on Harib on the specified date or the days preceding or following it.
The team also looked into a claim that the Coalition targeted a water truck in Al-Bayda Governorate on March 4, 2019. After reviewing relevant documents, the team found no evidence that the Coalition conducted airstrikes on Al-Bayda on the specified date.
Regarding a claim that the Coalition targeted a health unit in Khamis Marran, Saada Governorate, on April 1, 2015, the JIAT found that while a Coalition airstrike was conducted on a military target 3,500 meters away from the health unit on the same day, there was no evidence that the Coalition targeted the health unit. The team's investigation included a review of air task orders, mission reports, and satellite imagery.
The JIAT concluded that the Coalition did not target the fuel station, water truck, or health unit as alleged in the claims.
