Prime Minister follows up efforts to address the damage caused by heavy rain in Aden

Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Breik has been in contact with the local authority leadership in Aden Governorate regarding the efforts being made to address the damage caused by the heavy rains that affected several districts in Aden due to the low-pressure system.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister held a phone call with the State Minister, the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, who briefed him on the situation and the efforts made by the local authority to address the repercussions of the low-pressure system, assess the damage, and manage it.

In this regard, he directed that field efforts be intensified and that urgent needs be addressed immediately, particularly concerning human casualties, ensuring the continuity of basic services, opening main and secondary roads, draining rainwater, and clearing debris.

The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the local authority in Aden Governorate in dealing with the repercussions of the low-pressure system and emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination at both the central and local levels, as well as the necessity of community support for these efforts.

He stressed the need to intensify efforts to overcome the repercussions of the low-pressure system, focusing primarily on protecting citizens and taking all precautionary measures.
