Aden – Saba
Security authorities in the liberated governorates have arrested 995 individuals suspected of involvement in various crimes and criminal activities during the first half of August, including 19 individuals wanted for serious security-related offenses, according to official police data.

The report, released by the Security Media Unit, revealed that police forces successfully handled 734 criminal cases out of a total 1,022 recorded incidents during the reporting period. Investigations and search efforts remain ongoing in relation to 288 unresolved cases.

The statistics linked the surge in criminal activity to a wide range of contributing factors, including illicit gain, tribal and personal feuds, financial and familial disputes, real estate conflicts, ignorance of the law, and the widespread availability of weapons. Other contributing causes cited include revenge motives, drug abuse, and deteriorating economic, psychological, and social conditions.

Security forces continue to implement follow-up operations and maintain heightened vigilance to address outstanding cases and enhance public safety across liberated areas.
