Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, Salem Al-Soqtari, held discussions in Aden today with a delegation from the World Bank led by the Bank’s Senior Agricultural Specialist, Manivannan Pathy, to review ongoing and upcoming interventions in Yemen’s agricultural sector.
The meeting focused on new projects the World Bank plans to implement, targeting key areas such as dairy and agricultural value chains, production improvement, veterinary services, and marketing systems.
These initiatives are aimed at strengthening food security and promoting sustainable development in partnership with local institutions and stakeholders.
The World Bank delegation provided an overview of completed projects, including those related to locust control and enhancing food security, while outlining the scope of future interventions.
