Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdulrahman al-Mahrami has stressed the importance of judicial independence and the swift resolution of cases.
During a meeting held Tuesday with the leadership of the specialized penal judicial system, headed by the Head of the Specialized Penal Division Judge Mahmoud Atef, the head of the Specialized Penal Prosecution Judge Yahya al-Shuaibi, the Head of the Specialized Penal Court Judge Adel Mutlaq and the Deputy Prosecutor of the Specialized Penal Prosecution Judge al-Muntasir Billah Wahib, al-Mahrami renewed the full support of the Presidential Leadership Council to judicial authorities and efforts to enhance justice without any interference, as well as the provision of all necessary capabilities and resources to enable them to fulfill their duties effectively.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance the role of the judicial system in combating organized crime, terrorism and corruption, emphasizing that the stability of security and economic conditions is closely linked to the effectiveness of the judicial system and its ability to apply the law strictly and fairly.
Al-Mahrami listened to detailed explanations from judges of the specialized penal court and prosecution in Aden about the challenges facing judicial work, which include a shortage of qualified personnel and the need to update infrastructure.
He was also informed about the achievements made despite these challenges, with judges reaffirming their commitment to continue working to ensure the rule of law.
