Yemeni Rights Group Documents Houthi Militia Abuses
[11/08/2025 12:28]
Aden-Saba

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms has documented 732 cases of violations committed by the Houthi militia between June 1 and August 10, 2025, across ten provinces in Yemen.

The abuses include killings, injuries, abductions, enforced disappearances, and home raids.

According to the network's report, the Houthi militia's actions have resulted in 23 civilians killed and 13 injured in various incidents.

The group has also documented 252 cases of abduction and arrest, including 9 children and 3 women, as well as 23 cases of enforced disappearance.

The network's findings highlight the ongoing human rights abuses committed by the Houthi militia, backed by Iran, in areas under their control.

The violations are attributed to the militia's extremist ideology and systematic incitement.

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms is urging the international community, the United Nations, and local and international human rights organizations to condemn the Houthi militia's human rights abuses and pressure for the unconditional release of abductees and detainees.

The report emphasizes the need for accountability and protection for civilians in conflict zones, and underscores the importance of addressing the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
