Major General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, member of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, reviewed the progress made in securing funding to restart the Aden refineries.
During a meeting with Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Saeed Al-Shamasi, al-Zubaidi was briefed on the coordination with local banks to provide $20 million and secure the necessary quantities of crude oil to refine petroleum derivatives with a capacity of 6,000 barrels in the first phase of operation.
The Minister of Oil and Minerals provided an update on the arrangements to secure quantities of local crude oil, aiming to enhance the electricity system in Aden and several other governorates, alleviating the suffering of citizens amidst challenging service conditions.
Al-Shamasi also informed al-Zubaidi about the outcomes of his discussions with the Russian side's representative in the Yemeni-Russian joint committee to activate investment and trade exchange.
