ADEN-SABA
The recent brutal murders of 10 civilians, including parents and children, by their own relatives in Ibb and Sana'a are a direct result of the Houthi militia's extremist ideology and indoctrination of its members.
Information Minister Muammer al-Eryani condemned the Houthi's role in promoting violence and hatred, which has led to a surge in familial murders and other violent crimes.
Al-Eryani pointed to the Houthi's self-styled "Summer Education Centers" and "Cultural Courses" as key platforms for indoctrinating members with extremist ideology, promoting violence, and justifying the killing of others, including family members. He warned that the Houthi's actions are having a devastating impact on Yemeni society, eroding social cohesion and threatening the very fabric of families.
The minister called for immediate action to address the root causes of this violence and to protect Yemeni citizens, particularly children and youth, from the Houthi's extremist ideology.
