Specialized Eye Hospital in Marib Provides Over 100,000 Medical Services in One Year

The Specialized Hospital for Eye Surgery in Marib, affiliated to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, has provided 101,052 free medical services to eye patients since August 2024. A total of 43,799 patients benefited from these services.

According to the hospital's statistics, the services included 5,544 surgeries, 61,500 treatment units, 29,466 eyeglasses, 13,538 laboratory tests, and 8,705 imaging procedures.

The hospital's director, Ahmed Al-Omari, announced that the King Salman Centre has approved funding for a new phase of medical services for eye patients, starting from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026. This phase aims to perform 5,090 surgeries and provide treatment to 45,000 patients.

Al-Omari praised the humanitarian efforts of the King Salman Centre, which targets vulnerable populations and provides free services to displaced persons, host communities, and patients from neighboring provinces, including those under Houthi control.
