The Yemeni Ambassador to Turkey, Muhammad Tariq, met with the President of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Dr. Ali Erbaş, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in the religious and educational fields.
During the meeting, Ambassador Tariq briefed on the latest developments in Yemen, particularly the economic and humanitarian challenges resulting from the Houthi militia's coup and its detrimental impact on educational infrastructure and the distortion of Islamic values. He also highlighted the Yemeni government's efforts to meet citizens' needs despite difficult circumstances.
The Ambassador praised Turkey's supportive role in various fields, while Dr. Erbaş expressed Turkey's commitment to supporting the government in Yemen and its efforts to restore state institutions and stability. He also emphasized Turkey's continued humanitarian support to Yemen and its efforts to facilitate educational opportunities for Yemeni students.
