Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haydan met with the Chargé d' Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Mission to Yemen, Jonathan Peccia, via video conference to discuss enhancing security cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting focused on developing border control systems and updating the e-visa system to improve the efficiency and capabilities of security agencies in controlling borders and addressing security threats.
Haydan highlighted the significant efforts made by security agencies to maintain security and stability, citing the successes achieved in various security sectors, including immigration and passports.
The US Acting Ambassador congratulated Haydan and security leaders on their achievements, including the arrest of outlaws and the seizure of large quantities of prohibited materials.
He reaffirmed US support for the Interior Ministry's efforts in training, capacity-building, and digital infrastructure development.
