Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, Salem Al-Soqatri, met with a World Bank delegation in Aden to discuss preparations for launching a series of agriculture, irrigation, and food security projects in Yemen.
The meeting focused on the first phase of the Information Systems and Early Warning Project, which includes conducting studies and analyses to establish a water and climate database in the main basins of Wadi Hajar in Hadhramaut Governorate and Wadi Tuban in Lahj Governorate.
The project is expected to commence in October 2025. The discussions also covered the second phase of the project and the Integrated Water Resources Management Project,
