Parliament's presidency holds meeting in Aden

The Presidency of the Parliament chaired by Speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani, along with members of the Presidency, Engineer Mohammed al-Shadadi and Engineer Mohsen Basurah, held a meeting Wednesday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council in Aden.

The meeting aimed to discuss the latest developments in the general situation and the current changes in the country.

The meeting, attended by members of the House of Representatives, including Mohammed Qubati, Abdullah al-Maqtari, Abdullah al-Khalqi, Suhail Abdul Razak and Khalid Shayef, reviewed the agenda of the Presidency and the outcomes of meetings with President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi and Prime Minister Salem Saleh Bin Bureik.

They discussed the political and economic conditions on the national stage, the necessary measures to address these challenges, and the importance of collective efforts among all authorities to effectively respond to the various challenges facing the country during this exceptional phase.

The meeting also addressed the necessary arrangements for convening council sessions, the general directions for its work plan for the upcoming period, the priorities of the current phase, and the approval to form parliamentary committees to conduct field visits to the governorates of Aden, Taiz, Lahj, al-Dhale, Hadhramaut, al-Mahra, Shabwa, Marib and Abyan.
The purpose of these visits is to examine the activities of local authorities, financial and administrative actions, as well as central and local public resources, and the operations of revenue-generating institutions.

The Presidency discussed several issues related to the general situation on the national stage and the economic, humanitarian, and service conditions that the Yemeni people are suffering from.

They emphasized the importance of resuming council sessions to fulfill its legislative and oversight duties under the current circumstances and their commitment to ensuring that state institutions carry out their assigned tasks and unify their efforts.
