The Yemeni Ambassador to Turkey Mohammed Saleh Turaiq discussed Tuesday with the President of the Turkish Higher Education Authority, Professor Errol Özvar aspects of bilateral cooperation in the academic field and ways to support Yemeni students studying at Turkish universities.
Ambassador Turaiq addressed the difficulties related to the residency of Yemeni students, particularly in some Turkish universities, hoping to resolve these issues to ensure their academic and living stability.
He emphasized the importance of considering the exceptional circumstances faced by Yemeni students, calling for a reduction in tuition fees and facilitating visa procedures for Yemeni students wishing to join Turkish universities.
He also highlighted the importance of increasing the number of scholarships offered by the "YTB" Foundation, which are available directly to all students through the foundation's electronic application platform, based on a system of merit and transparency according to specific criteria.
For his part, the Turkish ifficial confirmed the agency's commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination within the framework of the laws and standards adopted in Turkey, which contributes to alleviating the difficulties faced by Yemeni students and enhancing educational relations between the two countries.
