Yemen Holds Meeting to Boost Nutrition Efforts

The Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Secretariat in Yemen held a meeting of the Steering Committee for Nutrition Improvement in Yemen, chaired by Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Basuhayb.

The meeting, attended by representatives from relevant government sectors, UN agencies, and international organizations, discussed the final outcomes of the multi-sectoral nutrition plan for various ministries, including Health, Agriculture, Social Affairs, Water and Environment, and Education.

The participants also reviewed the recommendations of the previous Steering Committee meeting, the implementation mechanism for the nutrition plan, and Yemen's commitments to the Nutrition for Growth Summit.
