Masam project for demining in Yemen has destroyed 4,620 pieces of ammunition and war remnants in Abyan Governorate, planted by the Houthi terrorist militias supported by the Iranian regime.
The "Masan" media office confirmed in a statement that the project carried out a significant operation to destroy a large quantity of unexploded war remnants in the Wadi Dofas area of Zinjibar District, Abyan Governorate, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community security and protect civilian lives.
The statement clarified that the first special operations team executed the operation, resulting in the destruction of 4,620 pieces of ammunition and war remnants, which included 155 assorted shells, 235 assorted fuses, 85 armor-piercing projectiles, 4,096 assorted bullets, 13 anti-personnel mines, 5 anti-tank mines, and 31 hand grenades.
Engineer Munthir Qasim, leader of the first special operations team, stated to the Masam media office that the operation was successfully carried out in a safe area, away from residential gatherings and agricultural lands, while fully adhering to international standards despite field challenges.
The Masam project continues its humanitarian missions in various governorates suffering from the spread of mines and war remnants, striving to clear the land and ensure the safe return of life to local communities.
