The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's Masam Project has removed 1,243 mines in various areas of Yemen during the third week of June.
This includes 4 anti-personnel mines, 57 anti-tank mines, and 1,182 unexploded ordnance.
A statement from the project noted that the team was able to dismantle 1,116 unexploded ordnance in Aden Governorate, along with one anti-personnel mine and 10 munitions in Qatabah District of Dhale'a Governorate.
In Hays District of Hodedah Governorate, the team removed one unexploded ordnance, while in Lahj, they dismantled 4 unexploded ordnance in Tuban District.
In al-Turbah, 9 unexploded ordnance were removed and one anti-personnel landmine in al-Matharibah District.
In Ma'rib Governorate, the team removed 32 anti-tank landmines, and in Shabwa Governorate, they dismantled one anti-tank landmine in Usailan District, 18 anti-tank landmines in Ayn District, and one anti-personnel landmine in Bayhan District.
In Taiz Governorate, one anti-tank landmine and 17 unexploded ordnance were removed in Dhubab District, 5 anti-tank mines and 17 unexploded ordnance in Makha District and one anti-personnel mine and 8 unexploded ordnance in al-Muthaffar District.
The total number of landmines removed in June so far has reached 3,699, while the total number removed since the start of the Masam project has now exceeded 501,243 mines.
