Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met Saturday on sidelines of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation with Malaysia's Foreign Minister Muhammad Hasan.
The two parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, serving mutual interests and enhancing the existing cooperation between Yemen and Malaysia.
The Foreign Minister praised the positive and supportive role of the Malaysian government toward the Yemeni government in regional and international forums, expressing deep gratitude to the Malaysian government for the facilities it provides to the Yemeni community residing in Malaysia.
He also extended his sincere congratulations to the Malaysian government for its outstanding success in hosting the ASEAN Summit and the ASEAN summits with the Gulf Cooperation Council and China.
For his part, the Malaysian Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s steadfast support for the Yemeni government, emphasizing Malaysia's commitment to continue providing humanitarian assistance and facilities to the Yemeni community, and its eagerness to expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
