Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Tariq Saleh discussed with a delegation from Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in the coastal city of Makha the epidemiological situation in the western coast and ways to enhance health responses to combat seasonal disease outbreaks.
The meeting also addressed the organization's humanitarian interventions to support the health sector in various specialties, including efforts to combat epidemic diseases such as cholera, malaria, and fevers.
Tariq Saleh praised the vital role played by the organization, especially the opening of a new center for treating cholera and fevers in Makha, aimed at providing urgent medical care to the population.
For their part, representatives of Médecins Sans Frontières expressed their appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with local authorities and security agencies in Mocha and the western coast in general, commending the logistical support that has expedited humanitarian response operations.
