Yemen calls on Iran to cease its destabilizing behavior and warns of the Houthi threat to shipping.

VIENNA - SABA
The Republic of Yemen called on Iran to cease its destabilizing behavior in Yemen and the region by continuing its support for the terrorist Houthi militia. This requires international supporting of the government to protect its territories, in parallel with implementing resolutions banning the flow of Iranian weapons to the Houthis and enforcing relevant international resolutions.

Yemen's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to Vienna, Haytham Shoja'aadin, stressed the need to take practical steps to support the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government in restoring the state and enhancing its capacity to protect maritime navigation in the Red Sea and waterways so that the terrorist Houthi militia do not continue to blackmail the international community by threatening maritime navigation.

Ambassador Haytham Shoja'aadin said in Yemen's speech he delivered at the meetings of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, "It has become important to proceed with the steps to formulate a new binding agreement with Iran, and that any agreement with Iran must include the removal of all concerns related to its nuclear program, its ballistic missile program, and its interference in the affairs of regional countries and Yemen."

It is worth noting that the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted a resolution on Thursday, submitted by the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, condemning Iran's non-compliance with its nuclear obligations, in a new warning to Iran to comply with its commitments.

The resolution called on Iran to urgently address its non-compliance with its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
