Yemen's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, reaffirmed the country's commitment to protecting and promoting children's rights, ensuring a healthy and educational environment, and securing a safe future for children.

He made this statement during the second regular session of 2025 of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF(.

Al-Saadi highlighted the partnership between the government and UNICEF, emphasizing the need to develop and strengthen their collaboration to support vital sectors such as health, education, and water.

He noted that the ongoing conflict has created a catastrophic economic, humanitarian, and social situation, exacerbating poverty, food insecurity, and malnutrition, particularly among women, children, and the elderly.
