Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq al-Sharjabi, met with a delegation from Samaritan's Purse, an international humanitarian organization, to discuss the organization's interventions in Yemen's water sector.
During the meeting, held in the temporary capital, Aden, the minister and the Samaritan's Purse team reviewed the organization's ongoing projects aimed at improving access to safe and clean water in several governorates.
The discussions focused on key challenges facing the water sector, including the need for enhanced coordination between the ministry and the organization to ensure effective interventions and sustainable impact.
The minister emphasized the vital role international organizations like Samaritan's Purse play in supporting Yemen's water sector, particularly in the face of current challenges.
He highlighted the ministry's efforts to strengthen partnerships with active organizations to implement critical projects that address urgent needs and improve the humanitarian situation in various governorates.
