The Minister of Foreiggn Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met today, Sunday, with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Hans Grundberg.
They discussed the developments of the situations in the Yemeni arena and UN-led efforts to revive the political process to put an end of the Yemeni people's ordeal.
Zindani underlined the increasingly growing humanitarian challenges in Yemen that have been further exacerbated by the military escalation and the persistent obstacles created by the Iranian-regime backed terrorist Houthi militias.
He also cited the deficit in financing the Humanitarian Response Plan, highlighting the importance of assisting the Yemeni government's capacities to enabling it to cater to the fellow citizens' needs, achieve the economic stability.
Mr. Grundgberg restated that the UN is committed to continue its efforts to de-escalate the tension and push the peace process to bring the war to its end.
