The Prime Minister Salem bin Braik underscored the significant role of the Federal Republic of Germany in sustaining the government's ongoing efforts aimed at addressing the pressing needs in the economic, basic services and humanitarian fields.
He voiced his remark during his talks today, Thursday, with the Director-General for the Near East, Middle East and North Africa at the German Foreign Office Tobias Tunkel and the Chargé d' Affaires of the German Embassy in the Republic of Yemen Janina Kopfmüller.
The conversations covered Yemeni-German bilateral relations and cooperation, developments at national, regional and international arenas and the German's role in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership at various levels.
The Prime Minister cited the government's top priorities in the areas of economy and basic services, underling the need to mobilize regional and international support for the government to enable it to deliver on its obligations, most important of all: to pay salaries of the government's employees, provide electricity and stop deterioration of the national currency value.
The German official reaffirmed his country's support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government's efforts aimed to manage current challenges and strengthen its capacities.
He also reiterated Germany's steadfast stance against the threats of the Houthi militias to the international maritime navigation.
