Al-Mahrami praises France support for Yemen

ABU DHABI - SABA
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Abul-Rahman al-Mahrami celebrated the Yemeni-French bilateral relations, greatly appreciating Paris's supportive stances in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership, underlining the importance of boosting joint cooperation in different fields.

His remarks came during his talks today, Thursday, with French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Katherine Corm Kommoun.

The conversations focused on the developments in the Yemeni, regional and international arenas, the French support for the Yemeni government's efforts to achieve the economic recovery, improve basic services and living conditions.

The efforts of the PLC to handle the economic and humanitarian crises, improve basic services and go on implementing the comprehensive reforms were also touched upon.

Al-Mahrami emphasized that normalizing the situations in the government-held governorates requires substantial international support takes into account the huge challenges facing the government, most notable of all the economic collapse and the cessation of oil export.

The French Ambassador stated that her country is keen to support the efforts aimed to establish stability in Yemen.

She also reaffirmed Paris's continuing cooperation with the PLC about the top priorities in the humanitarian and economic fields.
