Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Aidrus al-Zubaidi discussed Wednesday with French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Korm-Cammoun latest humanitarian development.
General al-Zubaidi praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. He valued the efforts made by the French government to support the Presidential Leadership Council in normalizing the situation and activating state institutions in the liberated governorates.
The meeting, attended by the Head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Authority Mohammed al-Ghaithi, discussed the continued economic deterioration and halt of oil and gas exports.
The meeting also discussed the importance of supporting the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council in following up on reforms in ministries and government institutions, coordinating their work and efforts to rehabilitate infrastructure in the interim capital, Aden.
This would contribute to creating an environment conducive to the return of embassies and international organizations to Aden.
The member of the Presidential Leadership Council emphasized the importance of enhancing humanitarian support provided by donor countries to the government, enabling it to fulfill its responsibilities in providing basic services to citizens, particularly electricity.
He stressed that the coastal governorates are experiencing difficult conditions amid the acute crisis in energy generation with the onset of summer.
