Republic of Yemen participated today, Tuesday, in the high-level conference sessions to support the plant health strategy in the Near East and North Africa region, held in the Italian city of Bari.
The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, Salem al-Soqatri contributed to the gathering deliberations.
The conference, organized by the FAO-RNE regional office of the Food and Agriculture Organization for the Near East and North Africa and the International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies.
The Conference aimed to discuss the current state of trans boundary plant pests and diseases in the region due to the ongoing threat posed by these pests at all agricultural, economic, and food security levels.
