Yemen's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Fahad al-Menhali met Monday with the UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Development and International Organizations Sultan Al-Shamsi.
During the meeting, they discussed the developments in the humanitarian situation in Yemen and the possibility of increasing humanitarian aid provided by the UAE to Yemen.
They also explored ways to provide additional support to the electricity sector in Yemen to help alleviate the suffering of citizens, particularly with the onset of summer and the increased demand for energy.
Al-Menhali praised the humanitarian role of the UAE in supporting the Yemeni people, especially in light of the challenges facing the government.
For his part, the UAE Assistant Foreign Minister emphasized his country's commitment to continuing to support Yemen in humanitarian and developmental fields, commending the level of coordination between the two parties.
He affirmed readiness to study and follow the proposals presented.
