[01/05/2025 06:01]

RIYADH - SABA
Chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Components Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr and council members discussed with Japan's Ambassador to Yemen Yoneichi Nakashima in Thursday ways to enhance cooperation and support efforts to confront the humanitarian and economic challenges faced by the Yemeni people due to the practices of the Houthi terrorist militia.

During the meeting, Dr. bin Daghr praised Japan's noble role and humanitarian positions supporting Yemen in its darkest moments, emphasizing that the agreements and areas of cooperation established between the two countries over the past decades represent a solid foundation for building broad future partnerships that serve the interests of both peoples.

The Chairman and members of the Council firmly rejected the policies of extortion and bullying practiced by the Houthi terrorist militia, pointing out the dangers of targeting international navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas and the Gulf of Aden, which poses a direct threat to regional and international security.

They called on the international community to take a firmer stance against the terrorism and piracy carried out by the Houthis.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador affirmed that his country places great importance on the stability of Yemen and supports all efforts aimed at restoring security and stability to the Yemeni state and the region as a whole.
