The National Malaria Control Program at the Ministry of Public Health and Population celebrated World Malaria Day, highlighting progress and challenges in combating the disease.
During the event, Minister of Public Health Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh emphasized the program's achievements and the need to sustain efforts to control and eliminate malaria, particularly in high-transmission areas.
He expressed hope that Yemen could reach malaria-free provinces within the next two years.
Dr. Ali Al-Walidi, Deputy Minister for Primary Healthcare, stressed the government's commitment to malaria control as part of global efforts.
