The Yemeni Embassy in Damascus, Syria, was reopened today with a ceremony marking the raising of the Yemeni flag.

The event signifies the resumption of diplomatic activities and strengthens the historical ties between the two nations.

Yemeni Ambassador Abdullah Al-Duais, leading a delegation to Damascus, and Chargé d'Affaires Mohamed Ba'kar, raised the Yemeni flag at the embassy.

The ceremony included the playing of the national anthem and speeches highlighting the significance of this moment in strengthening bilateral relations.

Syrian officials and members of the Yemeni community in Damascus attended the event, expressing their enthusiasm for the reopening and the potential for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.

The Syrian government has pledged to work towards elevating bilateral relations, while the Yemeni community looks forward to accessing consular services after years of interruption.
