Yemen's Ambassador to Germany Louay al-Eryani discussed on Monday with Dr. Michael Harms, Deputy Secretary-General of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and Kai Franka, the organization's office director in Berlin ways to enhance academic cooperation and increase the number of scholarships available for Yemeni students.
Ambassador al-Eryani praised the pivotal role that DAAD plays in supporting higher education globally, especially in developing and emerging countries. He commended the organization's efforts in supporting Yemeni students and researchers and enhancing their academic opportunities.
Dr. Harms confirmed the organization's readiness to increase the number of scholarships offered to Yemeni students, provided that applicants meet all the specified requirements when applying through the official website, coinciding with the announcement of available programs.
Both parties agreed to continue communication and joint cooperation.
