The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Yemen to the UN Ambassador Abdullah al-Sa'di held discussions today, Wednesday, with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peace-building Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo on the political, economic and humanitarian situations in Yemen.
The conversations also touched on the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government to make peace in accordance with the terms of reference of the agreed political solution.
Al-Sa'di updated DiCarlo on the terrorist Houthi militias' ongoing hostile practices and escalatory actions, including military mobilization and preparations to resume fighting and further worsening the people's suffering.
Ambassador al-Sa'di reiterated the Yemeni government's call for relocating the HQs of the UN's agencies to the temporary capital Aden to operate safely and deliver the humanitarian aids and relief to the people in need without restrictions.
DiCarlo confirmed her support for the efforts of the Yemeni government to end the war, make peace.
She stated that the UN is keen on launching political process to negotiate ending the conflict and establishing peace.
